Bluesky is piloting a new ‘live now’ feature that enables users to find livestreams of creators and organizations such as the NBA.
The feature places a red border and “live” label next to profile photos when users post links to livestreams, as noted by Bluesky
Clicking on the indicator takes users to the outside streaming platform, for example, YouTube or Twitch, where the stream is being hosted.
Bluesky’s COO Rose Wang made the announcement, underlining that the platform is looking to assist users in finding live events but not directly hosting them.
The feature is presently in trials with chosen accounts, such as the NBA and WNBA, and will be rolled to others who post livestream links.
