Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will be joining MLS side, Inter Miami which is partly owned by English football legend, David Beckham.
The Argentine told SPORT and Mundo Deportivo, āIf it had been a matter of money, Iād have gone to Saudi Arabia or elsewhere. It seemed like a lot of money to meā.
“I’ve been supporting BarƧa during the year, I’m a fan. I spoke to Xavi a lot, we discussed and we always had frequent exchanges”.
Messi also said, “I really wanted to return to BarƧa, I had that dream. But after what happened two years ago, I did not want to be in the same situation again, leaving my future in the hands of someone elseā¦”
“I was dreaming of BarƧa return, yes; but I was never sure about that happening because I remember very well the story of August 2021, two years ago”.

“I didn’t want to tell my kids, we go back to Barcelona, and then, nothing. So I was quiet about it”.
“I’m not sure if BarƧa did everything possible to make it happen, honestly; I just know what Xavi told meā¦”.
“I’m sure that there are people in the club who does not want me to return back to BarƧa, considering that as a negative for the club”.
