The Ondo State House of Assembly on Wednesday confirmed it received the name of Dr Olayide Owolabi Adelaide as Deputy Governor nominee.
The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olamide Oladiji in a statement by the Chairman, the House Committee on Information, Hon. Olatunji Oshati confirmed that the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa forwarded the name.
Receiving the letter on behalf of other Lawmakers in his office today, Oladiji said the governor’s action was in line with Section 191(3)b&c of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.

According to the Speaker, Dr Adelami who hails from Owo in Owo Local Government Area of the State is expected to appear before the House on 25th January 2024 for screening.
