Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has passed away.
Governor Akeredolu died of leukemia and prostate cancer at a German hospital around 2:00 AM on Wednesday, according to a senior government official in Ondo State.

These two ailments had rendered him incapacitated for several months, prompting the governor to transfer power to his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in December, as he declared his intention to take a media leave.
