British rapper Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, widely known by his stage name Central Cee, has announced that he has embraced Islam.
The Band 4 Band hitmaker made the disclosure during a recent livestream, where he also revealed that he has adopted a new name following his conversion.
Speaking in the video as friends congratulated him, the rapper said, “I just changed my name and took my shahada, I am a muslim now.”
Prior to this announcement, Central Cee had not publicly identified with any particular religion.

Born on June 4, 1998, in London, Central Cee is the son of an English mother and a father of Guyanese and Chinese descent. His parents separated when he was seven years old, after which he was raised by his mother alongside his two younger brothers in Shepherd’s Bush.
He began his journey into music in 2014, appearing on a now-deleted episode of the Fire in the Streets series. His first official song appearance came in January 2015 on the Ain’t On Nuttin Remix, alongside J Hus and others.
Central Cee gained widespread recognition with the release of his breakout single Day in the Life on June 14, 2020. Since then, he has risen to prominence and is now regarded as one of the leading figures in the UK drill music scene.
