President Muhammadu Buhari has thanked Nigerians for voting for him twice as well as Bola Tinubu as president-elect.
Buhari was elected twice under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2015 and 2019, and he will be handing over to Tinubu elected under the same political party on May 29, 2023.
The Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad, made this known via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

President Buhari expressed optimism that Tinubu will sustain his administration’s legacies and build on them towards achieving a greater Nigeria.
He reiterated that the president-elect truly believes in Nigeria and is genuinely committed to the progress and sustainable future of the country.
Buhari said, āThank you for electing me on two occasions to be your president and thank you also for responding positively to my call by voting for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

āBy the grace of God, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Ahmed is now the president-elect of the country and as I have mentioned before, he truly believes in Nigeria and is genuinely committed to the progress and sustainable future of the country.
