Over the years, the “Ye” crooner has harnessed his talent for a cause he believes in. The self-acclaimed African Giant is a firm believer in his abilities. He knows what he wants and he works towards it.

On Sunday, March 14, Burna Boy clinched his first Grammy for Best Global Music Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards. His fifth album, Twice as Tall, which was released in August 2020 won him that category. This is no mean feat for the prolific music icon.
Wizkid wins too
Afrobeat star, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is one phenomenal artist who has built a name for himself in the industry.
Born in Surulere, Lagos on July 16, 1990, Wizkid is talented, hardworking, and resilient. He puts in the effort to get the recognition he deserves. Hence, bagging the Best Music Video at the Grammys alongside Beyonce, Blue Ivy and Saint Jhn did not come as a surprise.
Wizkid started his career at a young age. His first solo hit, āāHolla At Your Boyāā was released in 2009. Afterwards, the music maestro has released other great works.
Nigerians are proud of them
Despite the challenges that Nigerians face regularly, they are not deterred from finding their path and blazing the trail.
Burna Boy and Wizkid have carved a niche for themselves as they stay focused on their dreams. They take advantage of any opportunity that comes their way and have had to scale through some hurdles to achieve their goals.
Success has been a journey for these two and the results they get for their effort is enough encouragement that time and chance happens to us all.

While accepting his award, 29 year old Burna Boy said, āāThis is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world. This should also be a lesson to every African out there that no matter where you are, no matter what you will like to do, you can achieve it.āā
