Burna Boy, Grammy award winner involved in car accident

Grammy award winner, Burna Boy real name Damini Ogulu has been involved in a ghastly motor accident on Saturday night, February 26.

The Nigerian recording artiste made this known on his Instagram stories on Sunday morning.

Burna Boy revealed that he was involved in a bad accident with his Ferrari sports car.

However, the music star expressed shock at the way bystanders remained apathetic when the accident happened instead of getting help.

“Yes, it is true. I had a bad accident with my Ferrari today. My legs just hurt a little but I am fine,” he wrote.

The Grammy award winner continued, “It’s just funny how everyone came out with phones; recording me instead of trying to get help (I guess they were just too excited to see me regardless of the situation lol) but I love you all. Gambo got me.”

Sharing a short video on his Insta story; the singer wrote, ā€œJust for confirmation. This is my faceā€

This comes a day after the singer hinted that he was working on a new album.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer and rapper.

He is one of the biggest and most successful African artists. He rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.

In March 2021, Burna Boy became the first Nigerian Afrobeats artiste to win a Grammy award. He emerged successful in the Best Global Artist category.

Despite his mainstream success; Burna Boy has often been described as one of the most controversial artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
