Burna Boy makes history, becomes first African artiste to sell out 80k London stadium


Grammy award winner, Burna Boy whose real name is Damini Ogulu has continued to dominate the music scene, smashing and creating new records as he promotes the Afrobeats culture and values across the globe.

News Round The Clock reports that the sensational Afrobeat musician has made history after selling out the 80, 000-capacity London Stadium.

Burna Boyā€™s concert, which was held on Saturday in the United Kingdom, UK, generated immense excitement among his fans with his performances.

The singer became the first African artiste to sell out the 80, 000-capacity London Stadium in the UK.

Confirming the report via its official Twitter handle on Saturday before the show, the London Stadium congratulated the singer for the achievement.

It tweeted: ā€œNOW SOLD OUT @burnaboyā€™s RECORD-BREAKING concert has now officially SOLD OUT.

What an incredible achievement for the first-ever African artist to solo headline a UK stadium. For those lucky enough to make it, enjoy the show.ā€

Burna Boy had earlier announced the show as part of the stops for his ā€˜Love, Daminiā€™ world tour.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR has been described as one of the best singers to emerge from the country. Further, the Nigerian singer-songwriter rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.
