Sensational Afrobeat musician, Burna Boy alongside Grammy award winner, Tems and Rema delivered an exhilarating performance at the 2023 National Basketball Association, NBA All-Star halftime show on Sunday, February 19.
The NBA all-star game, which took place at Salt Lake City, Utah, was established to see basketball superstars from conferences, consisting of Team Lebron and Team Giannis, compete in an energetic match to raise funds for charity.
Watching the electrifying performances of both teams was not the only highlight of the Night. Nigerian artists also shared the spotlight as they thrilled fans in what was an Afrobeats-themed performance.

Burna Boy, who opened the show with an exciting performance of āAnybodyā while being backed up by his captivating Outsiders Band, was introduced by Toronto Raptorās Cameroonian star Pascal Siakam.
Next in line was Rema, who fascinated spectators with his internationally renowned single, āCalm Downā before delivering an impressive rendition of his new single āHolidayā.
Tems dazzled listeners with hit singles āFree Mindā and āHigherā before closing with āEssenceā.

The Combustion Of Afrobeat….
The Nigerian music industry has continued to experience immense progress in the 2020s. It would be recalled that in 2021, the self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy became the first Nigerian-born singer-songwriter to win an individual award at the 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony.
Additionally, he became the first Nigerian musician to receive consecutive nominations at the foremost music award ceremony.
It would be recalled that in 2023, Rolling Stone ranked him at number 197 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
As for the sensational singer-songwriter and music producer, Tems, she bagged her first Grammy win at the 65th Grammy award for contribution on Futureās, āWait For Uā, a single that also features Canadian music superstar, Drake.
