Nigeria Women Footbal League Champions Bayelsa Queens have qualified for the semi-final of the CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL) after a 3-0 win over Egyptian side Wadi Degla, NRTC reports.
The Restoration Girls have now become the first ever Nigerian side to qualify for the last four of the competition.
Energetic player Juliet Sunday drew the first blood when she opened scoring in the 8th minute before Mercy Ikimi doubled the advantage after the restart.

Ikimi scored her second of the game and her team’s third in the 53rd minute to take the game beyond Wadi Degla’s reach.
Recall that Bayelsa Queens lost their first match of the CAFWCL against Mamelodi Sundowns Women’s team 2-1 before bouncing back with a resounding 2-0 win over TP Mazembe.
The Nigerian team will now face AS FAR of Morocco in the semi final on Wednesday November 9. The second semi final is between South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Simba Queens of Tanzania.
