Champions League: Ancelotti wary of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s threat

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed worry over “very dangerous” Victor Osimhen ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Napoli.

Both sides face off in one of the matchday two matches at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Tuesday.

Super Eagles striker Osimhen is rated as one of the best strikers in the world. He has been nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or due to his remarkable exploits with Napoli.

Osimhen came of the bench after the first half and scored in Napoli’s 4-1 victory at Lecce last weekend.

Los Blancos boss Ancelotti stated that the forward and winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia are the men to watch out for. The multiple-time Champions League winner says the two star players could hurt his side in tonight’s game.

Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia are ‘top-level players’

“They are very good forwards who have really broken out in the last year. They have demonstrated their quality and shown they are top-level players,” Ancelotti told Real Madrid official website.

Speaking further, 64-year-old Ancelotti said both players “have amazing talent with different characteristics. Kvaratskhelia is very strong one-on-one and Osimhen is very dangerous.”

24-year-old Osimhen claimed an assist in Napoli’s Champions League opening day 2-1 victory against Portuguese club SC Braga.

Osimhen netted five times for Napoli in the UEFA Champions League last campaign. During the present Serie A season, the former Lille man has scored five times in seven league encounters.

Napoli were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League last season by Serie A rivals AC Milan.
