Chelsea, Mlada Boleslav, and Fiorentina all claimed important victories in their Uefa Conference League matchday four encounters on Thursday.
NRTC brings to you a brief report of each of these three teams’ wins from the latest matchday of the 2024/25 Conference League.
Heidenheim 0-2 Chelsea
Chelsea maintained their grip on the top spot in the Conference League with a decisive 2-0 away win over German side Heidenheim.
Christopher Nkunku’s brilliant strike and Mykhailo Mudryk’s composed finish ensured the Blues halted their opponents’ perfect run.
French forward Nkunku broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half. He expertly controlled Jadon Sancho’s cross before firing in from close range. Despite Heidenheim’s relentless search for an equaliser, Filip Jørgensen’s impressive double save kept them at bay.

Mudryk then sealed the result with a crisp late strike, latching onto another precise cut-back from Sancho. Although Chelsea were reduced to ten men after Cesare Casadei’s second yellow in added time, they held firm to secure the victory.
Mladá Boleslav 2-1 Real Betis
Elsewhere, Mladá Boleslav celebrated their first-ever Conference League points with a dramatic comeback victory against Real Betis.
Giovani Lo Celso’s stunning free-kick in the 17th minute gave Betis an early lead. However, the Czech side turned the game on its head with two quick goals after the break. Matyáš Vojta finished off a brilliant team move in the 51st minute, and three minutes later, Patrik Vydra bundled in a scrappy second after a chaotic corner.
Despite Betis pushing for a late equaliser, their hopes faded when Lo Celso saw red in the 89th minute. This setback compounded their frustration, leaving Manuel Pellegrini’s men empty-handed after a promising start.
Fiorentina 3-2 Pafos FC
Meanwhile, Fiorentina bounced back in the competition with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Pafos. Christian Kouamé’s scrambled effort gave the Italian side a first-half lead.
After the break, an own goal from David Goldar doubled their advantage. Although Brazilian forward Jairo pulled one back for Pafos, Lucas Martínez Quarta restored Fiorentina’s two-goal cushion with a towering header. Jajá’s late strike reignited Pafos’ hopes, but the Cypriot side fell short of completing the comeback.
