Chris Eubank Jr paid tribute to his father who made a surprise appearance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London to support him and claimed that inspired his victory over his arch rival Conor Benn.
The British boxer who was later taken to hospital after the fight for precautionary checks had been estranged from his dad and both have barely spoken to each other in recent years.

Eubank Sr surprise appearance to support his son 35 years after he famously battled Nigel Benn, Conor’s father played a part according to Eubank Jr who won the fight 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards and said his victory drew on his dad’s legacy.

“The fact our fathers did it all those years ago brings out a different spirit in you and that’s what we showed here tonight,” Eubank Jr said.
“I’m happy to have this man [Eubank Sr] back with me. He needed to be here. All this is because of what he did.
“We upheld the family name. Onwards and upwards.”
