The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB), led by its Board Secretary, Gbolabo Okudero, has launched its annual sensitisation campaign in preparation for the 2025 Christian pilgrimage.
As part of the initiative, Okudero, alongside a team of CPWB officials, visited Mushin Local Government, as well as Isolo and Ejigbo Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State.
The visits were part of the Board’s ongoing awareness campaign aimed at engaging local leaders and fostering greater participation in the upcoming pilgrimage.
In Mushin Local Government, the CPWB delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman, Honourable Emmanuel Olanrewaju Bamgboye.
Meanwhile, in Isolo and Ejigbo LCDAs, the Council Managers, Ogabi M.F and Dr. Olusegun Ajaguna, respectively, hosted the team on behalf of their Chairmen—Otunba Adebayo Olasoju and Honourable Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello.
During these engagements, Okudero emphasised the importance of a comprehensive approach to governance.

He urged local government leaders to look beyond just socio-economic development and focus on the spiritual well-being of their citizens.
“Spiritual well-being is crucial in shaping a well-rounded individual and creating a morally upright society,” he said.
In addition to addressing spiritual welfare, Okudero presented the Board’s strategic plans for the 2025 pilgrimage.
He called for collaborative efforts from local government leaders to increase participation in the pilgrimage, particularly within their respective communities.
The sensitisation campaign marks the beginning of the CPWB’s mobilisation efforts for the 2025 Christian pilgrimage, reaffirming the Board’s commitment to fostering spiritual growth and enrichment throughout Lagos State.
