The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has fixed Thursday, October 9, 2025, for the main online recruitment examination for candidates shortlisted under the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres.
This announcement was made on Tuesday through a public notice shared on the service’s verified online platforms.
According to the statement, applicants have been divided into three groups—A, B, and C—and are to log in with their National Identification Number (NIN) on the official recruitment portal, https://updates.customs.gov.ng, to confirm their batch, examination date, and time.
“The Main Online Recruitment Examination for all shortlisted Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants has been scheduled for Thursday, 9th October 2025,” the notice read.

The NCS emphasised that strict compliance with the assigned batch and time is compulsory, warning that any deviation could result in disqualification.
“Candidates are strongly advised against the use of calculators, mobile phones, or any other devices during the examination,” the service stated.
Applicants were further cautioned not to log in multiple times or switch browser windows during the test, as such actions could disrupt their participation.
Clarifying the scope of the exercise, the NCS noted that the ongoing examination only applies to candidates under the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres, while those in the Superintendent cadre will have their test at a later date.
“Only Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants are to take part in this stage of the examination.
“Applicants of the Superintendent Cadre are not to participate at this stage,” the statement added.
