Davido, brother accuses South African disc jockey, DJ Maphorisa of ‘hating’ on him

Nigerian musician, David Adeleke who is better known as Davido and his brother, Adewale have slammed South African disc jockey, DJ Maphorisa over his comment about Amapianoā€™s success in Africa.

A Twitter user had credited Davido for being the pioneer of Amapiano in Africa before Wizkid and Burna Boy joined the bandwagon.

Specifically, the Twitter user wrote;

ā€œDavido brought Amapiano from South Africa two years ago and made it a successful genre in Africa and Beyond, Wizkid is now hopping on the same genre after davido made it a successful genre.
This is how many African artists have been benefiting from Davidoā€™s success for over 12yrsā€

Maphorisa found it unsettling and he replied that it was indeed Wizkid and Burna Boy who pioneered Amapiano in Africa, following their feature on the song ā€œSpononoā€.

He Wrote:

ā€œKabza & Maphorisa was the first to put Wizkid n Burnaboy on a amapiano song Sponono dat was a historical moment 3 years ago, research before tweet also it was the first time Wiz n Burna jumped on a same song together let it sink inā€

Following his comment, the self-acclaimed Omo Babaolowo and his bother teamed up to silence him, both affirming Maphorisaā€™s perspective.

According to the Afrobeat icon, the south African DJ has never been fond of him, hence the energy towards his career and hard work.

He wrote:

ā€œYouā€™ve never liked me y ? Iā€™ve always been good to you ā€¦. Anyways ! AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY NOW!!!!!! Chu chu chu chu chuā€
