Davido makes first public appearance since Ifeanyi’s death


Nigerian popular singer, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has made his first public appearance after the death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. 

According to a post on his aide, Isreal DMW, Instagram page, the Aye crooner is in his home state, Osun State, for the inauguration of his uncle, governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, as the next governor of the state.

His aide shared the photos of him with a caption, “Oga, no go ever minus. We outside #aadeleke_01 Osun State Governor.”

NRTC had earlier reported that the singer’s son died in October and since then, he had been languishing over his loss.

The boy[Ifeanyi Adeleke] died as a result of drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State, an autopsy conducted on his corpse by Lagos State Police Command revealed. 

The development was confirmed to newsmen by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.

The post had generated 6,706 comments in barely three hours since it hit the Instagram pages at the time of filing this report. 

Bobonla1 wrote,”All that is lost shall be restored. ” while Asa Ijbekee wrote,” May the Lord continue to restore and strengthen him and Chioma. Thanks for making us see his face again. 

Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi will be sworn-in today as the sixth civilian governor of Osun State by the Osun Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo, at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the state capital.

Expected guests at the event are stalwarts and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nationwide to be led by the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate Ifeanyi Okowa, the national chairman of the party Iyorchia Ayu and governors.

Also, Traditional rulers, religious leaders, captains of industries, scholars, artists, civil society organizations, community leaders, and residents of Osun will grace the occasion.
