Discover the new Pixel weather app by Google

ElevenLabs’ reader text-to-speech app is now available worldwide

Estimated reading time: 18 minutes

Amusingly, Google has just mentioned a weather app, but this app is available only for the recently introduced Pixel products. The app employs generative AI which enables the user to get a summary of weather reports within the shortest time possible. It is also possible to make it completely personal so that you only receive the information that you find to be most relevant.

Gemini Nano is used in the new Pixel Weather application which is in the new Pixel 9, and Pixel Weather 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Gemini Nano is the new arrival of Google’s on-device AI model which can run on the device on or off the network. He added that this initiative aligns with Google’s strategy to recast Android ‘from scratch with AI as its foundation. ’

Pixel Weather is claimed to use this model to produce more precise and accurate forecasts of the weather. Google has said that through Google AdWords, it will allow users to view detailed data in the form of basic details akin to ‘when the rain is going to start and stop. ’ Gemini Nano displays them in straight-forward bullet points; the viewer can then see all the pertinent facts about the climate at the moment without reading through various sequences of numbers. For instance, instead of informing the user that it is sunny outside, it could say something like ‘Remember to carry your sun cream since it’s sunny today’ or ‘Take an umbrella since it is raining today’.
