President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, urged Nigerians to maintain faith in his government and uphold patriotism as he participated in Eid-el-Fitr prayers alongside Muslim faithful.
Tinubu expressed this sentiment following the prayers held at the Eid Ground in Dodan Barracks, Lagos.
Highlighting the commitment of his administration to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to enhance prosperity for Nigerians, Tinubu assured that it is being diligently pursued.
Encouraging Muslims to extend the values of sacrifice and resilience beyond Ramadan, President Tinubu stressed the importance of prioritizing love for the country.
“We must preserve the resilience and sacrifice demonstrated during these months, fostering kindness and generosity. Our love for our country must surpass all others, as it is our only homeland,” he remarked.

“We must continue safeguarding the integrity of our government and leadership. The Renewed Hope Agenda remains vibrant, and Nigerians should maintain high hopes. Without hope, there is no salvation, development, or life. Eid Mubarak,” he conveyed to journalists after the prayers, led by Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou-Nolla.
During his sermon, the Chief Imam urged Nigerians to reject violence, promote peaceful coexistence, and maintain faith in the nation. He called upon leaders to honor their commitments and strive to alleviate the suffering of the less fortunate.
“Let us not forget our brethren in Gaza and other conflict zones,” he added, offering prayers for divine guidance, wisdom, and protection for President Tinubu, the Lagos State government, and for peace and stability nationwide.
