Chidera Ejuke netted his first La Liga goal for Sevilla, delivering a late winner in their 2-1 triumph over Real Valladolid at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Tuesday night.
The win marked Sevilla’s second triumph in the Spanish top flight this season. Sevilla entered the match looking to improve their standing after a shaky start to the campaign.

Ejuke began the game on the bench but made an immediate impact when he replaced Jesús Navas in the 61st minute. The 21-year-old quickly adjusted to the pace of the game and became a key offensive presence.

Sevilla took the lead just before halftime when Valladolid defender David Torres Ortiz accidentally scored an own goal. However, Valladolid equalised shortly after the break through Kike Pérez, who found the net in the 56th minute.
With just five minutes remaining, Ejuke displayed his poaching instincts by firing the winning goal past the goalkeeper. His crucial strike only secured all three points.
The 26-year-old’s Super Eagles teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho – formerly with Leicester City – started the match for Sevilla but was substituted for Suso shortly after the hour mark. Following this win, Sevilla climbed to 12th in the La Liga standings and will aim to build momentum in their upcoming matches.
