The Department of State Services, DSS, has denied the arrest of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
DSS made this known via its official Twitter handle today.
“Currently, Emefiele is not with the DSS.”
DSS tweeted.
Recall that reports had it that Emefiele was arrested yesterday immediately after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered his suspension from office with immediate effect.

Emefiele was suspended following the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.
As of press time, Adebisi Sonubi has been appointed as acting CBN governor.
