David Oyelowo sets to adapt Things Fall Apart into a movie, Idris Elba to play lead role
Things Fall Apart is a classic novel written by the late Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe in 1958. Thespian David Oyelowo, a British citizen born in Nigeria, has revealed that a television series will be based on the book. This is coming several years after the initial publication.
The lead character in the adaptation, Okonkwo, is being portrayed by renowned British actor Idris Elba. Production is currently underway.David Oyelowo and Amanda NāDuka will executive produce via Yoruba Saxon. Additionally serving as executive producers are Achebe Masterworks, Dayo Ogunyemi, and Ben Forkner.
Florence Otedola makes history as she becomes first Nigerian to host the UN General Assembly
Foremost Nigerian billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola who is better known as DJ Cuppy has made history. She is a well-known disc jockey and the billionaire daughter of Femi Otedola.
She recently made history by being the first Nigerian to host an opening session of the UN General Assembly.The well-known DJ served as the moderator for the Youth Action Day at the UNGA in 2024, which had as its theme “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”
