EPL: Who will join Norwich City in the Championship?

Norwich City finally returned to the English Championship after a 4-0 capitulation in the hands of West Ham United.

Norwich was the championship title winners last term winning promotion to the English Premier League in the process.

The Carrow Road outfit are presently on 21 points from 35 games. They starting the league in spectacular fashion that saw the team winning their first game 3-1 against Newcastle United.

Norwich played a very attractive style that won them numerous admirers and they also had a striker in-form earlier on in the season, in Teemu Pukki.

They suffered a lot of injuries especially in the backline and this definitely played some part. Norwich went on to concede far too many cheap goals in and with that, their relegation was confirmed. They would have to start planning for life in the second tier again after being relegated for the fifth time.

Other teams likely to join Norwich City?

Three teams are still fighting against the drop. These teams are; Aston Villa, Bournemouth, and Watford.

Watford

The Hornets are three points adrift of the drop zone, alongside West Ham United, who are in the 16th and 17th positions respectively. The relegation fight is sure going to go down to the wire.

Aston Villa

The fight to beat the drop is looking interesting. As both Aston Villa and Bournemouth won their games over the weekend. Villa gave themselves a fighting chance when they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Villa Park on Sunday.

Bournemouth

The Cherries on the other hand. Mauled Leicester City 4-1 to move them out of the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Brighton on 36 points appear to be safe. But the Seagulls would want to add a few more points to guarantee their safety.

The race for the top four however, is almost over with only the third and fourth spots up for grabs. The relegation battle on the other hand, will expectedly be decided on the last day.
