1. When did you first discover your passion for digital creation? What sparked your interest in this field?

Oladejo Boluwatife: From my undergraduate days, Iā€™ve always had a love for technology, how it works, what drives it, its components and properties. So naturally, after school, I ventured into the tech world and explored different areas. I didnā€™t stay in one place or become stagnant. One of the areas I delved into was the gadget sales business.

My interest in digital creation was sparked by the need to create awareness and offer solutions. Over time, through my interactions with people, I realized that many donā€™t fully understand the gadgets they use. My focus in digital creation became educating others on how to use when to use, what to use, and where to use these gadgets.

2. Can you share some of your earliest experiences with digital creation? What were your first projects or experiments?

Oladejo Boluwatife: I started by shooting with mobile phones and cameras, experimenting with different types of cameras and testing out various techniques. I tried adding drama and storytelling to my content, and I explored different hooks to make my videos more engaging.

3. How did you learn the skills necessary to become a digital creator? Did you take any formal training or learn primarily through self-study?

Oladejo Boluwatife: I didnā€™t take any formal training. Everything was self-taught. I made sure to continuously improve myself by learning new things. Iā€™m always learning and staying updated because no one has all the knowledge, they say no one is an island.

  • Growing from 1k to over 30k followers.

  • Developing a system that balances content creation with my personal life.
  • Building a strong, quality team over time.

5. Have you faced any major challenges or setbacks along the way? How did you overcome them?

Oladejo Boluwatife: Yes, there have been challenges. One of the biggest was balancing content creation with running my business. It wasnā€™t easy, but I overcame it by putting together a team to assist with content creation, which helped me maintain a balance between my work and business.

9. What are your future goals and aspirations as a digital creator? Are there any specific projects or collaborations you’re working towards?

Oladejo Boluwatife: Yes, Iā€™m looking forward to collaborating with different creators, not just tech creators. As for upcoming projects, a few months ago, I shared a video about my journey, pre- and post-transplant. It received a lot of responses and brought up many questions. I realized there are many people whoā€™ve gone through or are currently going through similar experiences. This made me want to share my story in more depth. Thatā€™s one project Iā€™m working on, but I canā€™t go into too much detail yet as itā€™s still in the early stages. As time goes on, Iā€™ll be sharing updates.

10. What advice would you give to aspiring digital creators who are just starting out?

Oladejo Boluwatife: My advice is to make sure you love what you do. Whether itā€™s tech, lifestyle, or food, ensure that youā€™re passionate about it and give it your best effort. Donā€™t do it just because others are doing it. Do it because you love it, and because you want to provide knowledge or solve problems. And donā€™t worry about getting all the expensive equipment, if you have a mobile phone, just start.
