Being kind is a virtue that should not come with regrets. However, there have been many cases of individuals who have cursed their good deeds as it brought them negative results at the end. Fahim Saleh, the boss of Gokada, a bike hailing transport company in Nigeria was murdered on July 13, 2020.
His death was a gory one that left a distasteful taste. Reportedly, the suspect stabbed Saleh in his Manhattan home. Afterwards, the suspect came back the next day to dismember his body. Sadly, Saleh was brutally murdered, cut into pieces, and left the world at the age of 33.
Fahim Saleh, a boss with a heart of gold
As a result of investigations, the CCTV footage suspects Saleh’s 21 year old personal assistant Tyrese Devon Haspil as the culprit in his death. Evidently, Haspil was said to have stolen the sum of $90, 000 from his boss. When Fahim Saleh found out, he did not report to the authorities. Rather, he offered ways Haspil could pay back the thousands of dollars he stole.
This action by Saleh is rare. It is a good deed that should not be condemned. Nevertheless, every offender of the law deserves to be punished. The assistant deserves to be tried in the court of law for stealing. It is pertinent to note that Saleh was known to be a generous being. Beyond being amiable, he was a liberal person. Perhaps, his assistant used his assumed weakness to take advantage of him.
Do good but do not lose yourself in the process
Being generous is human. It is a virtue that should be upheld and not discouraged. However, when you lose yourself in the process of being nice, then, there is a problem. Without having to use Saleh’s kindness as a case study (He is gone. We can’t undo what is done), let us use ourselves as examples on the issue of being over-generous.

There are some individuals that we must keep at arm’s length. Individuals with a questionable character reeks of suspicion, dishonesty, and greed. They are never content with whatever you give to them. Persons with a questionable character will steal from you and defend their acts.
A staff whom you caught in the act will tell you that his/her salary was inadequate. Hence, they decided to defraud you. These persons do not deserve to remain around you. If you choose to forgive their lying self, it is fine. You are only exhibiting your human nature. However, keeping them away from you is common sense.
Greed, a menace in our society
There are so many factors that discredits an individual. Also, there are attitudes that depletes the humanity of some persons. Greed is one of them. It is the bedrock of corruption.
The quest to remain in power (not just political power) is based on greed. More so, there are many acts that should be eschewed greatly. If entertained, it can promote despicable behaviours in humans. While we cannot completely flush out the menace, we must watch our desire to get what is not ours, illegitimately.
Fahim Saleh, a dream reaches the end of the road
Saleh, born on September 23, 1986, left this world in a horrible way. On July 14, 2020, his sister found his torso in a waste bag close to an electric saw. He was reported to have died from multiple stabbings before his body was decapitated with the electric saw.
Fahim Saleh was an entrepreneur and computer programmer. His amiable self brought admiration to many persons. In 2018, he founded Gokada, a motorbike hailing company in Nigeria. The young entrepreneur lived his passion. Unfortunately, he has reached the end of his journey on earth.
