The Federal Government has extended congratulations to the Republic of Ghana as the country marks its 68th Independence Anniversary.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, Nigeria commended Ghana’s progress in strengthening democracy, fostering economic growth, and promoting stability in the West African region.
The statement conveyed the goodwill of Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, to his Ghanaian counterpart, Samuel Ablakwa. It also emphasized the deep-rooted relationship between both nations, built on shared history, cultural connections, and a common vision for Africa’s prosperity.
As part of its message, Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Ghana, particularly in trade, education, security, and regional integration. Both countries are expected to continue their collaboration on critical matters through the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and in alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
