The Third Mainland Bridge is set for a total closure as the Federal Government disclosed plans for major repair activities.
Lagos Commissioner for Information, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed in a statement on Monday that the total shutdown is necessary to facilitate crucial repair tasks on the bridge.

Both carriageways will be impacted by the complete closure, scheduled from 12 pm on Wednesday (28th February) to 12 pm on Thursday (29th February).
āConsequently, all road users are advised to use alternative routes already provided during this period as the bridge would not be opened to traffic for 24-hours,ā he said.
Osiyemi thanked the public for their patience and cooperation.
He assured that traffic management officials will be on ground to manage traffic and minimise inconveniences.
