FG disburses students loan to 40 more institutions

The Federal Government has disbursed student loans to forty (40) additional institutions across the country, bringing the total number of disbursements to institutions in the country to fifty-nine (59).

Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), the official FG agency in charge of the student loan, disclosed this on Friday.

ā€œThis expansion marks a significant milestone in NELFUNDā€™s ongoing commitment to providing access to quality education for all Nigerian students, regardless of their financial circumstances,ā€ the agency wrote on X.

From the list, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Delta State; University of Ibadan, Oyo State; Ebonyi State University, Ebonyi State; University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers State, and Bauchi State University, Bauchi State are among the benefitting institutions.

In all, the sum of N2.1 billion was disbursed to 18,998 students across the 40 institutions.
