At a time during the tight encounter, D’Tigress trailed Mozambique by 10 points.

However, inspired by the indefatigable Amy Okonkwo, D’Tigress fought back to level 40-40 at a point before securing victory.

Meanwhile, Okonkwo led the Nigeria contingent with 17 points, six rebounds and one assist.

Nigeria had earlier beaten the Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt to seal the quarter-final berth.
