The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived in Australia ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
This year’s tournament will be held in Australia and New Zealand after witnessing the 2019 edition in France.
Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna tweeted the team’s arrival in Australia on Tuesday.

The nine-time African champions have been placed in Group B alongside hosts Australia, Republic of Ireland and Canada. Also, the Super Falcons will have all their group matches in Australia.
Randy Waldrum’s charges’ first game will be against Canada on 21 July at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
The Super Falcons are the only African team to participate in every edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup since its inception in China in 1991.
