Former Oyo governor, Olunloyo is dead

The former Governor of Oyo State, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo, has passed away.

News Round The Clock gathered that Olunloyo, who made history as the first Ibadan-born governor of the state, died in the early hours of Sunday.

His death comes just three months before what would have been his 90th birthday.

Olunloyo briefly served as the governor of the old Oyo State from October to December 1983.

A family source revealed that the elder statesman had been battling age-related health issues in recent weeks.

The source also mentioned that the burial arrangements would be announced soon.
