FPL challenge: All you need to know

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) over the years has become one of the most followed digital attractions in the world of football.

The FPL team has now introduced a new variation for the 2023/2024 season’s run-in to keep engagements at a high.

This new format will of course run concurrently with the usual fantasy premier league. With many managers finding it difficult to navigate and others having little to salvage from their season, this would provide a fitting attraction for that contingent.

In this new format, managers have the chance to assemble a new squad of 15 players every match day. They can use the same budget, formations, and captain rules as the main game.

Participants can enter one team per gameweek and compete for prizes on a global scale, as well as engage in friendly competition with up to 25 different leagues comprising friends, family, and colleagues.

On each matchday, a new challenge is set for managers while all other established FPL rules will follow suit.

In the approaching gameweek, gaffers are provided with a war chest, allowing them to get whichever players they desire.

In Gameweek 31, all forwards will score double points. The Forward focus challenge spells all your fielded attackers will have their garnered points tally doubled.

In Liverpool’s return trip against Manchester United at Old Trafford, the challenge set on matchday 32 is tagged the “Red Rivalry”, where all the players featuring in this encounter will have their points doubled.

Notably, in FPL Challenge, managers are allowed to select up to five players per club, as opposed to the three in the established format.

One of the standout features of this Fantasy game is the absence of set deadlines. Players have the freedom to dip in and out of the game as they please, without the pressure of adhering to strict pre-gameweek deadlines.

Additionally, scores are reset after each gameweek, eliminating the need for long-term commitment. This allows players to enjoy the game without the worry of missing out or facing rigid time constraints.

Overall, this Fantasy game offers a comprehensive and flexible experience that caters to the preferences and schedules of its participants. It provides an exciting platform for football enthusiasts to showcase their managerial skills and engage in friendly competition.
