Galatasaray fans in a frenzy as Victor Osimhen lands in Turkey (PHOTOS)

Turkish giants Galatasaray fans are in euphoria after Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen arrived Turkey ahead of his loan move to the club from Napoli.

Fans stayed up late into the midnight to welcome the reigning African Footballer Of The Year at the airport.

Osimhen was met with a unbelievable welcome by hundreds of fans and journalists when he landed in Istanbul.

ā€œThey came here at this time of night (3am). I can already feel them. I will dedicate myself for them every match,ā€ an overwhelmed Osimhen said on arrival.

The former Lille striker appeared thrilled and excited, wearing a yellow t-shirt and a scarf of the Turkish giants. His transfer to Galatasaray came after proposed moves to PSG, Chelsea, and Saudi club Al Ahli all fell through.

At the airport, he joined the fans in singing and chanting, embracing the warm welcome.

He joins Gala on a season-long loan deal, including a clause that allows him to leave in January. The Istanbul club will cover his substantial salary, though the loan has no option to buy.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports has called this the biggest signing in Turkish football history. Galatasaray, the most popular club in Turkey, boasts over 30 million fans and a market value of $294 million.
