Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the state into a major destination for innovation, healthcare, tourism, and economic growth through strategic investments in legacy projects.
During an inspection tour, the governor visited ongoing works at key sites, including the Innovation Hub, the remodelled Civil Service Clinic, the Kwara Hotel, and the Ilorin International Conference Centre.
Speaking with reporters, he outlined the vision behind these projects, emphasising their role in creating an ecosystem that attracts investments and benefits residents.
“Our focus is to build an ecosystem that projects our state to the world and makes us more attractive,” AbdulRazaq said.
“We are rebuilding and expanding the Civil Service Clinic to be a major referral centre at the secondary level. This complements our efforts at the primary healthcare level and other initiatives, such as converting major hospitals into teaching institutions for universities.”

“Our target is to have five unicorns in ten years. This is going to be a standard for Africa. We are working with partners like IHS on a programme worth over 10 billion naira,” he stated.
AbdulRazaq assured residents that the administration’s investments in key sectors aim to elevate Kwara’s status as a national and international hub for development.
