Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has signed four executive orders aimed at fostering business growth, enhancing physical planning, ensuring transparency in governance, and safeguarding property ownership in the state.
The orders, signed at a ceremony on Thursday underscored the administrationās commitment to creating a transparent, inclusive, and secure environment for residents and investors.
The first executive order focuses on enhancing transparency and efficiency in the operations of key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
It mandates MDAs, including the Ministries of Commerce, Works, Lands, and Housing, among others, to publish fees, procedures, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs) on the state’s official websites.
Functional contact details must also be provided during working hours. This measure aims to promote accountability and accessibility in the delivery of public services.
The second order establishes a framework for responsible and inclusive land-intensive agricultural investments (FRILIA) to encourage agribusiness reforms.
This framework ensures shared benefits between private investors and local communities, with land acquisition and resettlement conducted in line with international best practices.
The order seeks to resolve agricultural land issues while promoting large-scale agribusiness opportunities. The third executive order introduces a phased approval process for building projects in Ondo State.
Each phase of construction will require compliance with safety and engineering certifications before proceeding to the next stage.
