Gov Eno reiterates commitment to support security agencies

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his administration’s steadfast commitment to bolstering security agencies for effective policing throughout the state. 

In a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Governor Eno expressed this dedication while welcoming the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo.

He emphasised his intention to fully support the security agencies, particularly as the state prepares for the upcoming Local Government elections.

He said: “Yesterday, I welcomed the new Commissioner of Police, CP J.O. Eribo, to Akwa Ibom State. I reiterated my unwavering commitment to supporting our security agencies to ensure effective policing across the state, particularly as we approach the upcoming Local Government elections. 

“I’m confident that CP Eribo, with his impressive credentials and vast experience, will significantly enhance our ongoing efforts to strengthen our security architecture, including the Ibom Community Watch initiative. We stand ready to collaborate for the safety and peace of our people. Welcome to Akwa Ibom, CP Eribo! We look forward to working together.”
