Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday swore in the newly appointed members of the state Civil Service Commission.
In a statement posted on his X page, Obaseki described the inauguration as a pivotal moment for the state, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of public service.
He emphasised that the event represents the culmination of strategic, far-reaching efforts by his administration to reform the state’s civil service, including changes in its structure, mindset, and operational infrastructure.

āThe agency is supposed to nurture, hire, and train this critical asset of the government and should not be taken as another political structure.
āI charge members of the Commission to be professional no matter the distraction. They have to advise the government and broaden their scope to deal with all public servantsā, he said.
