Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has been honoured as a University of Ibadan UI@75 Ambassador in recognition of his exemplary leadership and contributions to education, governance, and national development.
The award was presented by the Universityās Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, during a ceremony at the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti.
Professor Adebowale praised Governor Oyebanji for his transformative efforts in Ekiti, particularly in the areas of education and infrastructure development.
He noted that the governor’s inclusive approach to governance had positively impacted the state’s growth and educational reforms.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed confidence that Oyebanji would continue to inspire the next generation of leaders.

The governor was joined at the event by his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, and several senior officials from the Ekiti State Government and the University of Ibadan.
The ceremony was also attended by alumni of the university holding key positions in Ekiti State’s government.
