Governor Obaseki rewards LASU’s best-graduating student with scholarship, upkeep allowance

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has announced a reward of one-year full scholarship into the Nigerian Law School for Aminat Yusuf who graduated with a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 from the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University (LASU).

Obaseki also announced automatic employment into the state’s public service as well as an upkeep allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel which is about N200,000 for the Edo indigene.

He added that his administration would continue to recognize excellence and reward the Edo State sons and daughters who bring pride to the state.

Obaseki wrote on his Facebook page: “We are honouring our outstanding daughter, Yusuf Aminat with automatic employment into the state’s public service and a full scholarship for one year in the Nigerian Law School, where she will receive an up-keep allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel, which is about N200,000.

“As a government, we will continue to recognize excellence and reward our sons and daughters who bring pride to the state.”

NRTC earlier reported that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu rewarded Yusuf with a sum of N10 million at the 26th Convocation and 40th Anniversary of LASU for her outstanding achievement.
