GRWM stands for Get ready with me. It’s the term used for videos where content creators unravel the commencement of the early of their day with their audience or those who care to view.

Almost everyone who has a cellphone (an Android or iPhone) is eligible to become a content creator. In modern times, every social media is intentionally or inadvertently a content creator, you could agree or not. Following the recent success of skitmakers on various social media platforms, an influx of youths have decided to pursue a career in content creation or decided to walk the path of popular YouTubers such as Mr Beast, Tayo Aina, Opeyemi Famikin, the list goes on…

Content creation is simply the art of creating a piece of information that is designed to educate or entertain the audience. The objective of content creation isn’t to educate in a mundane manner, it’s established to teach the audience or viewers the simplest of things in a fun or enjoyable manner.

There are different themes for content creation. Get Ready With Me (GRWM) is rapidly becoming the most popular form of content creation due to the advent of the social media platform, TikTok. Sharing videos via the “point of view (POV) caption, creators can make relatable videos and also show people that it is possible to make money from the comfort of one’s home.

Content creation encompasses various activities including maintaining and updating web sites, blogging, article writing, photography, videography, online commentary, social media accounts, and editing and distribution of digital media.

GRWM videos are simply about storytelling, charisma and the ability to captivate your audience within 60 seconds to 2 minutes. They are usually witty, quick and concise- let your viewers understand your framework. Due to the inability of some content creators to enthral their audience, they infuse a bit of lewdness in their content (this is subtly becoming predominant in recent GRWM) videos.

Content creators need to be more creative with their approach without including kinky inclinations in their work, of course, except if you’re the Twitter nudist, Yahweh or her other cohorts.

First, what does DIY mean?

It simply means ‘do it yourself’. Your life your primary responsibility, hence, you must learn to do certain things yourself. Fix your car tyres yourself, the kitchen sink, switch a lightbulb, etc.

DIY is about learning to do the basic things by yourself.

Importance of DIY Mindset In Content Creation

The world has golden beyond only receiving lessons from the the four walls of a classroom. From social media, you can teach people certain skills and impart knowledge from your miniature apartment.

The following are importance of content creation:

  1. Money. When the time is right, a content creator will be paid handsomely for the job he is doing.
  2. Impart knowledge. There are various topics a content creator can teach viewers. Conversations could vary from personality types, perspectives to life, family values, gender discussions, etc.
  3. Influencer. A content creator can become an influencer and his objective becomes revered in his given field due to the in-depth knowledge the person possesses.
  4. Originality. You might not necessarily be the first person to create a particular content, albeit, your ability to put yourself in front of a camera would set you apart from a coterie of people who are afraid to share their pool of knowledge with the world.

The interesting thing about social media is that you can’t define how far a particular distance can go. Content creation can pulsate you into the stratosphere, and unveil a new level of fame and popularity for you.
