Erling Haaland has been crowned the Premier League’s top scorer for the third time.
The Manchester City striker finished the 2025/26 season with 27 goals in 35 league appearances.
Haaland’s season was a tale of blistering starts and testing slumps. He scored 19 goals in his first 17 games, a devastating run that gave City an advantage in the title race during the first half of the season.
But the Norwegian hit a difficult patch mid-season. In seven consecutive matches leading up to the New Year, Haaland scored only one goal, a penalty against Brighton. That slump coincided with City dropping important points, allowing Arsenal to overtake them in the final stages.
Despite the drought, Haaland delivered when it mattered most. He scored in big matches against Liverpool and Arsenal.
Third Golden Boot, elite company
Haaland finished five goals clear of Brentford’s Igor Thiago, who scored 22 goals in a breakout campaign. Manchester City teammate Antoine Semenyo finished third with 17 goals.

The Golden Boot is Haaland’s third in four Premier League seasons. He also won the award in his debut season in 2022/23 and again in 2023/24.
That tally ties him with Premier League legends Alan Shearer and Harry Kane, who also won the Golden Boot three times. Only Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry have won more, with four each.
