Guinness World Record have released a statement to explain why the recent milestone achieved by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci is yet to be verified.
On Monday, May 15, Baci made a new record for long cooking hours, surpassing the record previously held by Indian chef, Lata Tondon.
Tondon’s record stood at 87 hours, 45 minutes.
As at the time of this report, Baci had cooked for over 93 hours.

Despite Baci’s achievement, the Guinness World Record mentioned on Twitter that the Akwa Ibom-born chef’s impeccable performance is yet to be verified.

The statement read,
āWeāre aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record.ā
