Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has achieved another remarkable feat as Guinness World Records (GWR) has confirmed her for cooking the world’s largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
The global record body, in a post shared on its official X account, wrote:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

The recognition followed a massive culinary event held on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Tagged the “Gino World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci”, the occasion attracted thousands of food lovers and gained wide attention on social media.
Baci, who first captured international headlines in 2023 after setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has now further cemented her status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs.
The record-breaking festival was graced by several high-profile personalities, including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, all of whom turned out to support the chef’s historic attempt.
