Legendary Hollywood actor and martial artist Carlos Ray Norris, popularly known as “Chuck” Norris, has died at the age of 86.
According to reports, the veteran actor passed away on Friday, March 19, 2026.
His family, in a statement, revealed that he died in the early hours after being admitted to a hospital the previous day in Kauai, Hawaii. They added that details surrounding his death would remain private, noting that he was surrounded by loved ones and “was at peace until the breathed his last.”
Born in Ryan, Oklahoma, United States, Norris first gained international recognition as a martial arts champion before making a successful transition into acting. He later became a household name through his starring role in the widely acclaimed television series Walker, Texas Ranger.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Norris served in the United States Air Force and built an impressive career in martial arts competitions. He also went on to develop his own fighting style, known as “Chun Kuk Do.”
Unlike many of his contemporaries who focused on either film or television, Norris distinguished himself by excelling in both. As he grew older, however, he gradually stepped back from frequent on-screen appearances.

He also connected with a younger audience through cameo appearances in films such as Dodgeball (2004), starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller, and The Expendables 2 (2012).
Over the course of his life, Norris earned black belts in several martial arts disciplines, including Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo.
