Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has spoken about how the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, transformed his outlook on life and music.
Davido and his wife, Chioma, lost their three-year-old son in October 2022 after he drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s Banana Island home in Lagos.
In a recent interview with ABC News’ Rocsi Diaz, the singer shared that the tragedy made him see life differently and rethink the direction of his career.
He explained that the experience tested their strength as a couple, adding that they found a way to recover from the devastating loss.
Davido said many people have told him they drew courage from how he and Chioma handled the situation.
