How Tech software improves early Autism detection

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

NASQ web App is a tool that can help identify autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in young children. It was created by Bloom Buddy, in collaboration with Autism Speaks and the Centre for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders of the College of Medicine, at the University of Lagos. NASQ web App aims to address the high prevalence of developmental disabilities in Nigeria, where one out of every 10 children is affected.

According to the developers, while the tool enables parents and caregivers to detect autism, which is one of the developmental disabilities, it would also act as a mechanism to encourage them to speak with a healthcare provider and explore support.
