I got 249 via text message from JAMB, says Mmesoma

During an interview with Sunrise Daily on Channels Television on Wednesday morning, Mmesoma, the Anambra student who was alleged by JAMB to have falsified her 2023 UTME result, said she got 249 from JAMB via text message and another score 362 via USSD code.

Mmesoma made this statement in response to the claim that the feedback from JAMB showed her score as 249, “Yes,” she said. “After all was said and done, I now saw that I got 249. I sent them a text message there to know what really happened — the JAMB Support System. If they go to their system, they will see it there.”

Earlier, Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, disclosed that the candidate had transmitted multiple messages to the board’s automated telecommunications system, which included the results indicating an aggregate score of 362.

In response to the claim that she used an Airtel line, Mmesoma confirmed, “Yes,” but clarified that it was not done through a USSD code. She further explained, “The one I checked through the USSD code is the one of 362 that I saw.”
