‘I have no cabal or sponsors to compensate’, – Tinubu

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday addressed concerns about potential manipulation by interest groups in the ongoing economic reforms, emphasising that his campaign was entirely self-funded and free from any obligations to individuals or institutions.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of Islamic leaders led by Sheikh Bala Lau at the State House.

He described his electoral victory as the result of divine intervention, meticulous planning, and the support of the Nigerian people.

“My responsibility now is to follow His guidance and teachings. A clear conscience is one of the strongest forms of defence against corruption. Our primary focus should be the future of our children. We have much to teach them about being good and responsible citizens,” the President stated.
