I pick my lover’s eyesight over any boxing match– DJ Cuppy

Nigerian disc jockey and producer, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, has said she picked husband-to-be, UK boxer Ryan Taylor’s eyesight over any boxing match. 

The daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola on her Facebook page Thank God for the recovery of her fiance’s eye.

She wrote: “The LOML @Ryan_Taylor 💕♥️ THANK GOD your eye is recovering. You scared me from ringside straight to A&E 🚑💔 …Sorry fans, I pick his eyesight OVER any boxing match ANYDAY! #SorryNotSorry.” 

Recall that Ryan Taylor had quitted a boxing match in the first round due to a blow to the eyes from his opponent, Brandon Scott, known as Swarmz.

Swarmz first jab a few minutes into the first round left Taylor, 29, with swelling so bad that the referee deemed him unable to continue.

Cuppy’s fiancee’s eye began to swell up badly, with many suspecting that he had broken his orbital bone.

Ryan after the match took to his Instagram story that he immediately lost his sight after the punch, which prompted his decision to quit.

He wrote: “The glove caught my fucking eye ball. I can’t see shit. Mad …,” 

A few hours into the post, some of her fans took to the comment session to wish her fiance a speedy recovery. 

Traidmarc wrote, “Wishing him a speedy recuppery.”

Also, Dolapo Jeffery Balogun said, “Wishing you the greatest luck possible in the relationship xx.”

Similarly, David Yakubu wrote, “Love in the air. I’m so happy for you Cuppy.”
